Meditation is like exercise - everyone knows it would be good for them, but they don't really want to do it. Part of the reason some people have a difficult time maintaining a mindfulness practice is because they believe one or more of the myths of mindfulness, such as you're supposed to stop thinking.

In this workshop, Douglas Gentile, Psychology Professor, will explore several of the myths of mindfulness and do some practices to see how to begin a sustainable personal practice.
