ISU will celebrate Earth Day on April 18, from 10am-2:00pm, on the South Library Lawn. This year's theme, "The Urgency is Now -The Opportunity is Now", reminds and challenges us that now is the time to educate and empower ourselves to engage and take action toward ensuring a just, healthy and sustainable future. ISU's celebration will feature interactive "Stay and Create" or "Take and Create" upcycling activities, the opportunity to earn sustainably-minded, greener-living prizes, Insomnia cookies and fruit-infused water, music from KURE, FREE bike tune-ups from ISU Recreation Services and the opportunity to learn from and network with representatives from campus and community organizations - committed to environmental, economic and social sustainability through missions, goals and initiatives.
Don't Forget!! A non-perishable donation to The SHOP (campus student food pantry), your bike for a free tune-up and your reusable water bottle or mug for fruit-infused water (you can also earn one at the event).
ISU's Earth Day Celebration is sponsored by the Office of Sustainability and assisted by fabulous ISU student volunteers.
