The book Powerful Learning Tools: Unleash the Science of Learning by Pooja K. Agarwal and Patrice M. Bain (2019) discusses practical ways to introduce retrieval, spaced out, interleaving and metacognition-driven practice to any classroom.

Drs. Anna Johnson (Animal Science) and Lesya Hassall (CELT) will lead discussions and activities to help you devise a plan for classroom implementation of retrieval practice and meta-cognition-based feedback for better learning.

Copies of the books will be provided to the 15 first participants who register online by January 13, 2020.

Meets monthly on the following Wednesdays (3-4:30 p.m.): Jan. 29, Feb. 26, & Mar. 11
