Celebrate the opening of the exhibition Artists in Iowa: The First Century with a reception from 5-6 p.m. followed by a talk with guest curator Dr. Lea Rosson DeLong. DeLong will discuss the expansive new exhibition, the significant themes, key artists and her research process.

This exhibition showcases the first scholarship that surveys the art history of Iowa since 1934. Dr. Rosson DeLong's accompanying publication will also be available for sale at this event. Refreshments will be served.

Program sponsored by the Kathy and John Howell Art Enrichment Program. The project is also supported, in part, by the Iowa Arts Council, a division of the Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs, and the National Endowment for the Arts.
