In Dr. Mawalagedara's class, students practice the scientific method in Thinkspace online learning software: gathering data, conducting experiments, testing hypothesis, receiving expert feedback. They then modify and revise methods in a safe environment where they are encouraged to take intellectual risks. Students not only demonstrate developing critical thinking skills, they report it's fun to do so. Participants in this session will leave with ways to not just demonstrate and simulate critical thinking in their classrooms but engage learners in these processes.
To participate fully in the workshop, attendees are encouraged to bring a laptop.
