Seed Saving with the Ames Seed Library Pop-Up Seed Exchange
The Ames Seed Library is a community resource that offers free vegetable, flower, fruit, and herb seeds to empower people to grow their own food and build relationships through gardening. Learn about collecting seeds from examples in the Anderson Sculpture Garden and take home pre-packaged seeds from the Seed Library.
CALS Study Abroad Fair
Students can gain valuable information about domestic and international travel opportunities through the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. Students can talk with program coordinators, study abroad representatives, and past program attendees. Attendees will be entered for a chance to win one of two $500 scholarships to be used towards an ISU study abroad program.
Workshop: Git basics for absolute beginners
Git is a version control system: it tracks and manages changes to your files over time and allows you to include explanations for each change. This workshop will introduce you to Git - how it works, its benefits, and how to get started -- by learning and practicing the basics. This workshop is for anyone that works with plain text data and code but requires no prior knowledge of Git. You will need a Windows, Mac, or Linux computer to participate.

Cyclone Cinema: Twisters
Cyclone Cinema is presented by the Student Union Board and showcases a variety of film genres, screening a different movie every weekend Thursday - Sunday during the semester. Sunday film screenings are in open caption format. All other screenings can be open caption as well, as long as the request is made to the staff prior to the movie starting.
