Wikipedia Edit-a-Thon: Digital Humanities in Practice
Digital Humanities has been one of the most ubiquitous phrases on university campuses for a number of years. Documentary: Nobody Speak, Trials of the Free Press
The 2017 Netflix documentary "Nobody Speak," which was nominated for a Grand Jury Prize at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival. The film explores the Hulk Hogan "sex tapes" case against Gawker Media and examines the threat of big money to a free press. Snacks will be provided during the showing. An informal discussion with members of the First Amendment Committee will follow. Part of the First Amendment Days celebration.
Wearables Design Show
First-year students in the Design Studies 102 studio will investigate how their work can interact with and be designed for the human body and explore materials and fabrication processes, kinetic behavior and more. They will showcase their wearables in a runway-style show with DJ, judges and awards. Attendees can interact with the models and their wearables after the show.
