Service-learning offers a dynamic strategy for engaging students in deeper learning of course content through community action. Dr. Gail Nonnecke, Global Professor of Global Resource Systems and Morrill Professor of Horticulture, will facilitate as student panelists share their reflections about the influence service-learning had on their understanding of content presented in the classroom.

Join Sarah Rummery, Reiman Gardens' Manager of Horticultural Operations, and Sharon Rink, Reiman Gardens' Horticulturist, for an informative and hands-on workshop designed to familiarize you with all the W's of early spring pruning. Learn what, when, where, how, and why to prune, and put your knowledge to practice outside in the Gardens. Please bring a pair of gardening gloves (preferably leather), and dress to work outdoors.

Youth Program: Caterpillar Club
If you like Kids Story Time, you'll flip for Caterpillar Club! Please join us for winter storytelling twice per month, from October to March. Each gathering features a theme as we read aloud two or three books, and wrap up with related cooperative activities and crafts great for groups and individuals alike. Materials are intended for children ages two to seven years old, and all children must be accompanied by an adult. Let's hang out together!
