Students who write about what they learn achieve deep conceptual understanding, develop a disciplinary command, and build greater confidence in their knowledge. We'll look at two articles discussing how writing assignments can be designed and applied to promote effective learning in the STEM classroom. University of Colorado Boulder's Adam J. Blanford will be the discussant.
