This Learning Community is designed for those who plan to include more or different kinds of writing in their courses, and it will serve as a venue for talking through approaches and workshopping assignments and rubrics. Using John C. Bean's Engaging Ideas: The Professor's Guide to Integrating Writing, Critical Thinking, and Active Learning in the Classroom as a springboard, we will explore how to make writing assignments work effectively for both you and your students. Facilitator: Patti Poblete, Assistant Director, Writing & Media Center.
