Led by Project LEA/RN associate director Jan Wiersema. Registration is required; space is limited to the first 20 educators. Are your students doing the kind of thinking required by professionals? Are your clients processing the information needed to solve complex problems?

Join us on May 13-14 as we uncover what many already know about human learning; share insights about the brain, based on current research and the implications thereof; engage in strategies that promote interaction and deep thinking; and apply your new understandings in situations where you facilitate learning. The strategies you experience and the concepts you explore will be directly applicable to classes, orientation sessions, meetings or any other learning situations for which you are responsible--making your leadership even more effective for improving learning.

PARTICIPANTS MUST PLAN TO ATTEND BOTH DAYS.

Expectations of participants:
o Actively participate in every session
o Complete assignments between sessions
o Practice new skills both during the sessions and in classes and meetings throughout the upcoming semester
o Be willing to meet, get to know, and work with new colleagues
o Encourage and support others and yourself
o Have some fun!
