Retirement reception for chemistry department staff members Sally Gleason and Dave Scott. Gleason has been a secretary for the department since 1984. Scott joined the department as an NMR spectroscopist in 1987.

Sally Gleason began working in the Music Dept. as a Clerk Typist III July 11, 1983 in the main office. In May of 1984 she transferred to the Department of Chemistry as a Secretary II. She has been the foundation of the general chemistry office ever since. Upon retirement in December, she will have been at ISU 27 years, 5 months, and 20 days.

Dave Scott is an ISU alum, BS Biochem '72, MS Biochem '82, and PhD Biochem '85 and has worked at ISU for 33 years. He began working at ISU in 1977 in the Department of Biochemistry as a research assistant. He moved to the Department of Chemistry, instrument Services, in 1980 as a half time spectroscopist. In 1985 he added a half time postdoctoral appointment with the Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics. In 1987 he joined the Department of Chemistry, Instrument Services, as a NMR spectroscopist.
