Marie has worked more than 29 years at Iowa State University, with 25 of those as a full-time employee. She began as a student employee in Printing Services, working with their mailing system. After graduating from Iowa State in 1985 with a B.S. in Computer Science, she joined the Computation Center as an editor in the User Services group. She then earned an M.A. in Technical Communication; her job morphed into Communications Specialist; and the department became Academic Information Technologies. She wraps up this phase of her career in the Communications group of the unit now known as Information Technology Services.
